This production was part of Classics for a New Climate (with Julie's Bicycle), a series of performances which looked at sustainability in theatre production across all departments - from marketing to building management and the use of set material. We approached the design by working creatively with the quality of the existing space

Patrick set the play in the basement kitchen of a manor house; recommissioning set elements from previous productions and hiring or purchasing existing props and costumes. A special maintenance process was put in place to allow use of vintage clothing. All props found a new home after the show.
